Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Facilities Director, this position coordinates the physical inventory systems, performs data and analysis on space utilization, facilities planning, open space design, and/or transportation planning. This position will review and make recommendations on improvements in support of efficient use of both indoor and outdoor university facilities initiatives.

UW Standard Job Responsibilities:
- Analyzes, audits, and updates facility records and Capital Plan Workbook.
- Reviews, evaluates, approves, and provides recommendations for facility improvements, space assignments, and proposals utilizing best practices and established policies and procedures.
- Reviews space requests and models test fits and facility options for massing, scale, and impact to university facilities per the Campus Master Plan.
- Assist with developing, writing and updating required spreadsheets and documents for the Capital Budget
- Coordinate onsite inspections and provide information needed by engineers, contractors, and project managers.
- Assist with developing scope, budget, and drafting project requests.
- Responsible for the review, management, and retrieval of project archive materials.
- Update facility prints, equipment documentation and space management data to reflect actual conditions after projects.
- Schedules logistics and secures resources and information to identify, assign, and acquire space for institutional use.
- Investigates options for potential future development based on unit facility master plans and the overall Campus Master Plan.

- Knowledge and experience managing projects.
- Ability to read and understand building prints and specifications.
- Proficiency in operating computers and ability to learn new software applications.
- Ability to drive a vehicle for the purpose of conducting university business and meet the criteria for operation of state-owned-vehicles โ Policy 615

Required Qualifications:
- At least 2 yearsโ experience in engineering, technical writing, estimating, project management or a related field.
- High School Diploma
- Valid driverโs license

This position is currently ineligible for H1-B sponsorship. A qualification for this position includes independent eligibility to work within the United States upon hire date.

Desirable Qualifications:
- Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Project, Adobe, Revit, or other related software.
- Experience estimating, scope development and soliciting bids.
- Experience in or knowledge of the construction, operation, and/or maintenance of commercial facilities.
- Certification in project management, technical writing, data analysis, or related field.
Compensation & Benefits: Salary range for this position is: $50,000 - $54,000 annually. This position offers a comprehensive benefits package, including generous paid time off, competitively priced health/dental/vision/life insurance, tax-advantaged savings accounts, and participation in the nationally recognized Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS) pension fund.
