Job Description
The Washington Times is seeking an experienced journalist to report about current social trends, online influencers and events, and cultural issues such as abortion, transgenderism, gun rights, DEI, feminism and parental rights, among others. The ideal candidate will be able to generate ideas and write enterprise articles on culture and entertainment. The successful candidate will provide daily and enterprise coverage of key issues and their effects on society, as well as contribute general assignment articles outside the scope of their regular beat. The position calls for an accurate, talented writer who can quickly file articles to the website, then develop them with more reporting and research to produce top-notch copy for the newspaper.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and at least two years of reporting experience in a daily deadline environment. Experience covering cultural and social issues is a must, as are the abilities to write clean, concise copy and meet daily digital and print deadlines.
The Washington Times offers a competitive base salary that includes medical, dental, vision, company-paid life insurance, as well as a generous paid time off program, matching 401(k) plan, and free on-site parking. Apply TODAY to start your journey with The Washington Times
