Human Resource (HR) Administrative Assistant

10 is seeking a Human Resource (HR) Administrative Assistant for a 6-month contract-to-hire position with a leading client in Columbus, OH. This role is on-site 5 days per week.
Compensation: $ per hour W2.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
Job Description:
The Human Resource (HR) Administrative Assistant performs administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the client's Human Resource (HR) department.
Responsibilities:
Assists the Director on benefit reconciliations.
Assists with recruiting; conducts or assists with new hire orientation.
Maintains the integrity of accurate up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
Works in tandem with our Security Office(s) to ensure Security Clearances and requirements are completed on time and accurately.
Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees related to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.
Assists with planning special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
At least two (2) years of Human Resources experience, associate's degree in related field preferred.
Prior related office administrative experience preferred.
Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn the human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, especially Excel.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism , and diplomacy.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail .
Excellent verbal and written communication skills .
