Position Overview
We are currently seeking a compassionate Nursing Assistant to join our team at Libermann Hall. This role is part-time with 2-3 shifts per week, covering either the 7:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. or 2:00 p.m.–9:00 p.m. shift, Monday through Sunday. The Nursing Assistant reports directly to the Nurse Manager and plays a key role in delivering high-quality, resident-focused care in a long-term care setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Work under the direction of the Nurse Manager; full orientation and ongoing support will be provided.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
- Support transfers and ambulation, encouraging physical activity and social engagement.
- Assist with meal service and ensure residents’ dining needs are met.
- Maintain a safe, clean environment by following best practices for hygiene and promptly addressing hazards.
- Monitor residents’ physical and mental condition and promptly communicate updates to the Nurse Manager.
- Foster trusting relationships with residents through meaningful interaction and engagement.
- Follow individualized care plans and adhere to all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Understand general nursing care procedures and terminology; assist in monitoring medication compliance under supervision.
Qualifications

- Strong communication skills, reliability, empathy, and a desire to support a vulnerable population.
- Ability to work the specified shifts (7 a.m.–2 p.m. or 2 p.m.–9 p.m.) 2–3 times per week, including weekends.
- A commitment to maintaining resident dignity, privacy and safety in all interactions.
Salary: $16 - $18 hourly
