MRI Technologist – Stable Schedule, Supportive Culture, Excellent Work-Life Balance

Position Overview
In this role, you will perform basic MRI imaging of the brain, spine, and select extremities without contrast media. We’re seeking a reliable, confident professional who can work independently while contributing to a positive, patient-focused environment. Enjoy a 9-5 shift with no weekends

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of MRI experience
  • Registered MRI Technologist (ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT (MR))
  • Current BLS certification (AHA required)

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality MRI scans following established protocols and physician orders
  • Ensure patient safety, comfort, and emotional support, including assistance with claustrophobia, mobility, or language barriers
  • Properly position patients and select imaging parameters to achieve diagnostic image quality
  • Monitor patients during procedures and respond promptly to concerns
  • Collaborate with radiologists and clinical staff to ensure accurate results and excellent patient care
  • Evaluate images for quality and communicate relevant findings
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation per policy
  • Process images, complete PACS QA, and manage logs and demographic data
  • Report equipment concerns and assist with routine maintenance
  • Enforce MRI safety policies for patients, visitors, and staff
  • Educate patients on procedures and preparation
  • Maintain confidentiality in alignment with HIPAA
  • Manage clinical supplies and keep rooms fully stocked
  • Assist with patient scheduling and basic clinical tasks when needed

Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, and MRI terminology
  • Familiarity with MRI coding, departmental protocols, and workflow
  • Ability to troubleshoot imaging or equipment issues
  • Commitment to infection control, safety standards, and high-quality imaging
