Be the Respiratory Therapy Supervisor You've Always Aspired to Be
Your impactful journey involves:

• Administers medical gas, breathing therapy modality, and medication per physician written order.
• Recommends and implements appropriate alterations to therapy based on observations.
• Performs arterial blood gas sampling and transport.
• Interprets results and alerts appropriate personnel of abnormalities.
• Demonstrates proper chest physiotherapy and postural drainage techniques.
• Ensures staff function per guidelines of National Board of Respiratory Care, other practice acts.
• Provides appropriate direction and supervision for Respiratory Care Practitioners.
• Interviews and selects Respiratory personnel for employment.
• Verifies hours worked by employees and completes required payroll reports.
• Demonstrates awareness of budget parameters and meets hospital guidelines with cost.
• Supervises new staff orientation to hospital/dept. process, policy, procedure, and documentation.
• Utilizes continuing education to keep abreast of current advancements related to pulmonary care.

Qualifications

• Current State License in Respiratory Therapy
• CPR certification
• ACLS certification preferred
• Associates degree or higher from an accredited respiratory therapy program
• 2 years hospital experience in Respiratory Therapy preferred
• Supervisory or management experience preferred
