Job Title: Public Safety Administrative Assistant Department: Administration and Planning | DPS Administration

Under direct supervision from the Administrative Services Manager, provides daily administrative and general office support for the Department of Public Safety. Assists with the coordination of events, travel, event planning, projects, miscellaneous tasks, and other administrative duties as needed. Assists in receiving, organizing, and restocking equipment inventory. Relieves manager and department leadership of routine and non-routine tasks as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED. Certification or vocational training may be preferred. 1 year of relevant experience required. 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred.

Desired Qualifications

  • Candidates with knowledge of university procurement systems will be strongly considered

  • Knowledge of Workday highly desirable

  • Valid drivers license

  • Ability to work independently on assigned projects

  • Ability to move objects weighing up to 50 pounds from floor to waist height

  • Ability to reach overhead and below the waist to retrieve and store materials and equipment

Requires successful completion of a background check. Selected candidates will be requested to complete a pre-employment physical including a drug screen.

Additional Information:

The target hiring range for this job profile is $18.37 - $23.99 per hour. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to, education, years of experience, internal equity, etc.
