About the Company
Decorator Depot USA (CoverPoint Commercial Shading Solutions) is a specialized commercial subcontractor focused exclusively on Division 12 window treatment installations, including manual and motorized blinds and shades. Based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, we are a growing regional contractor providing high-quality installation services throughout the Gulf South.
Position Overview
We are seeking motivated and coachable Window Treatment Technicians (Installers) to join our growing team. This position is ideal for individuals with construction, carpentry, or installation experience; however, prior experience is not required. Candidates with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and eagerness to learn will excel in this role This is a full-time, field-based position offering structured training, advancement opportunities, and hands-on experience in commercial construction.
Pay & Schedule
- Starting Pay: $17.75 – $22.50 per hour (Depends On Experience)
- Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM. Friday 6:00 AM- 12:00 if there are no installations (occasional overtime)
- Workweek: Full-time, 35–45 hours per week
- Pay Frequency: Weekly
- Advancement: Regular performance-based pay increases
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist in installing manual and motorized window treatment systems
- Read and interpret layouts, drawings, and manufacturer instructions
- Operate hand and power tools (drills, levels, tape measures, etc.) safely and efficiently
- Adhere to all company and general contractor safety policies; wear required PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, etc.)
- Maintain company vehicles, tools, and installation materials in proper working condition
- Communicate professionally with supervisors, team members, and site personnel
- Complete daily job reports and document installation progress
- Ensure quality control, alignment, and proper operation of installed products
- Participate in daily safety meetings and toolbox talks
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform overhead work using ladders or lifts
- Punctual, dependable, and safety-minded
- Willingness to learn and follow direction
- Construction or installation experience a plus (not required)
Travel & Work Location
While most projects are based in the Baton Rouge metropolitan area, technicians may be assigned to regional projects in other cities within Louisiana and surrounding states. Per diem is provided for all approved overnight installation projects.
Pre-Employment Requirements
All candidates must successfully complete a drug screening and background check prior to their official start date.
