A Brief Overview
Reporting to the Transportation Safety Manager at Safelite Group, the Transportation Safety Analyst will be responsible for all aspects of fleet safety and DOT related programs. This will include risk assessment, incident prevention and response, operating procedures, training, reporting and governance, and compliance assurance.

The Transportation Safety Analyst will work to understand the needs of the fleet and support actionable strategies toward building a consistent fleet safety program throughout the organization.

What you will do

  • Conduct Accident Reviews and Follow-Ups by compiling incident data, identifying root causes, and tracking resolution status.
  • Communicate Driver Safety Policies to relevant stakeholders and ensure consistent understanding across teams.
  • Collect, organize, and maintain data from driver logs, vehicle operations, maintenance records, and Lytx's/telematics to support DOT compliance tracking.
  • Provide Origami System Support by entering and validating incident data and assisting users with basic troubleshooting.
  • Analyze Accident Trends and Unsafe Behaviors using available data to identify patterns and escalate concerns to leadership.
  • Follow up on Ineligible Drivers by reviewing flagged records and coordinating with appropriate teams for resolution.
  • Ability to ethically handle sensitive and confidential information with impartiality and professionalism
  • Consult with crossfuntional partners to assess compliance. Review checklists, truck, trailer, contents, logs, etc., for compliance and document findings.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards

Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Bachelors degree required. Preferred

Experience Qualifications

  • 1-3 years Experience in automotive transportation safety with telematics, incident management & risk identification. Preferred
  • 1-3 years Experience with a growth organization focused on culture and engagement. Required
  • 1-3 years Experience in leading national initiatives with heavy change management requirements. Required

Skills and Abilities

  • Commercial, investigation, strategic and analytical skills. (Medium proficiency)
  • Demonstrated ability to drive significant, positive impact across a large-scale operating company. (Medium proficiency)
  • Knowledge of the DOT regulations. (Medium proficiency)
