As a Senior Process Engineer I, you will play a key role in enabling ingredient transitions and process changes across the North America biscuit portfolio. You will lead the design, assessment, and implementation of process solutions that ensure smooth material transitions, capital investment readiness, and robust process capability across multiple brands and plants. This role requires strong technical expertise, project leadership, and the ability to collaborate across R&D, Manufacturing, and Business Development to deliver consumer-preferred products with excellence.
How you will contribute
Lead process design, capability assessment, and deployment for ingredient changes, transitions, and new material introductions across multiple brands and sites.
Conduct capital investment investigations and develop design recommendations to enable smooth transitions and ensure manufacturing feasibility.
Drive end-to-end process development, from pilot plant and line trials through commercialization, ensuring technical rigor and compliance with GMP and HACCP.
Partner with Product Development, Business Development, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Quality to proactively identify risks, troubleshoot issues, and deliver robust solutions.
Generate, update, and maintain accurate process specifications and technical documentation aligned to consumer and business requirements.
Influence cross-functional stakeholders and provide technical recommendations that balance consumer experience, quality, and productivity.
Contribute to intellectual property and competitive advantage creation through process innovation.

Education / Certifications:
Bachelor's in engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Food, or related field).
Job specific requirements:
Minimum 5 years in food industry process development, commercialization, or engineering with a proven track record of successful product launches and process improvements.
Process design and scale-up, risk assessment, problem-solving, project leadership, statistical analysis (e.g., Minitab), strong communication skills.
Ability to taste and evaluate biscuit products, including those with varied allergen profiles.
Travel requirements:
Up to 40% (domestic and international)

East Hanover, NJ (Hybrid, minimum 3 days in office)
The base salary range for this position is $83,800 to $115,225; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
