Overview
A leading aerospace manufacturer in Santa Fe Springs is seeking skilled CNC Operators to join its precision machining team. The facility supports major aerospace and defense programs with complex machining, forming, and fabrication services.
Role Summary
The CNC Operator sets up and operates CNC lathes and mills to machine precision components per engineering drawings and quality standards. This position plays a key role in maintaining production flow and delivering on-time, high-quality parts for flight-critical applications.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC lathes, mills, or multi-axis machines (Mazak, Okuma, or equivalent).
Read and interpret blueprints, job travelers, and GD&T symbols.
Load tools, set offsets, and verify dimensions using micrometers, calipers, and precision gauges.
Monitor tool wear, make necessary offsets, and ensure parts meet AS9100 quality requirements.
Maintain accurate production records and follow all safety and 5S procedures.
Collaborate with supervisors, programmers, and inspectors to resolve machining issues.
Qualifications
2+ years of CNC machining experience (aerospace or precision manufacturing preferred).
Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools.
Familiarity with Fanuc or Okuma controls is a plus.
Basic math and shop-floor computer skills.
Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work with minimal supervision.
Schedule & Compensation
Full-time, Monday–Friday; Day and Swing shifts available.
Competitive hourly rate based on experience, with overtime opportunities.
