Responsibilities:
- Assist with month end closing
- Improves financial status by analyzing results; monitoring variances; identifying trends; recommending actions to management
- Perform financial analysis for the operation leaders
- Assist in the month-end and quarter end procedures
- A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles
- Reconciles transactions by comparing and correcting data
- Maintains database by entering, verifying, and backing up data
- Recommends actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; studying proposed changes in methods and materials
- Identify/facilitate opportunities for improvement of financial processes
- Involved in the development, use, and application of updates to the planning and forecasting software
- Reconciliation of our quarterly physical inventory of equipment
- Develop a standardized monthly branch income statement analysis template and initiate branch-level financial analysis
- Assist the Manager, Financial Reporting & Analysis with annual budget preparation
- Forecast revenue, expenses, and cash flow using historical data
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance reporting to support decision-making
- Build financial models and assess profitability for new products and business initiatives
- Monitor standard costs, material usage, and overhead absorption
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA, CPA, or CFA preferred).
- 3+ years of financial analysis experience, ideally in industrial or public accounting settings.
- Strong ERP system proficiency and advanced Excel skills.
- Deep understanding of GAAP, cost accounting, and financial statement analysis.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; SQL experience is a plus.
- Proven knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance and information analysis.
- Outstanding presentation, reporting and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks and meet critical deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality.
