Job Summary

We are seeking a Maintenance Operator I to perform first-level maintenance on production equipment, building infrastructure, and facility grounds. The role focuses on ensuring safety, minimizing unplanned downtime, and supporting efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete assigned maintenance work orders.

• Perform basic maintenance repairs on infrastructure, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and CNC/manual equipment.

• Troubleshoot and resolve breakdowns in mechanical, electrical/electronic, pneumatic, and plumbing systems.

• Conduct facility system inspections as assigned.

• Utilize diagnostic tools and standard repair techniques.

• Update spare parts and replacements as needed.

• Participate in cross-training within the department.

• Maintain clean and organized work areas and issued tools.

• Follow work instructions, safety standards, and regulations.

• Provide feedback and suggestions for process improvements.

• Assist with training team members and working with external repair personnel when necessary.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform work independently and communicate effectively with supervisors.

• Strong math skills and ability to read schematics.

• Troubleshooting and repair skills in mechanical, electrical/electronic, pneumatic, and plumbing systems.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities.

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

• Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Education & Experience

• Trade School or Associate’s Degree in Industrial Maintenance, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Prior manufacturing industry experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Regularly required to stand, walk, talk, hear, and use hands.

• Frequently lift and/or move up to 40 lbs.

• Ability to adjust vision focus as needed.

Work Environment

• Typical shop environment; may not be climate controlled.

• Exposure to outdoor weather, noise, fumes, and dust (PPE may be required).

• Possible contact with toxic or caustic chemicals.
