Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician for our client in Tanner, AL 35671. You will be an active member of the Maintenance Team, duties will define by the expectations of the Production Schedule. Repairs and maintains machinery, plumbing, physical structures, & fixtures of all aspects of the operation performing any combination of duties This is a great opportunity to work with a leading company while building your long-term career.

Responsibilities

• Inspects machinery & equipment for defects.
• Repairs machines or equipment, dismantling as needed to gain access to defective parts.
• Reassembles machinery making necessary adjustments to ensure efficient or proper operation.
• Removes, install, makes modification to machinery or equipment as required.
• Uses Blueprints, drawings, manuals, or other specifications to perform the required job.
• Operate & repair plant support machinery, boilers, softener, & compressors.
• Test fuses & has experience in welding, soldering, brazing & shop machines.
• Handles major repairs & liaisons with contractors as required.
• Develops & implements preventative/predictive maintenance on all machinery & equipment.
• Maintain a safe & tidy work environment, actively participates in training of apprentices, co-workers in gaining new skills.
• Ability to participate in the 5S programs

Requirements

• HS Diploma
• Must be able to pass a Drug screen & Background Check
• Must have steeled toed shoes.
• Must be able to pass a Measurement Test
• Must have 3-5 years of experience in industrial manufacturing.
• Ability of basic mechanical knowledge & application of compressed air, hydraulics, & pneumatics, basic electrical, welding, pumps & preventative maintenance.
• Ability to troubleshoot & problem solve effectively, can read & interpret technical drawings.
• Must have own tools (as defined by the Company)
• Must meet the physical requirements of the job 
• Must have above average welding skills & asset
• Certification for operating Lift trucks & Aerial Lift equipment in safe manner able to pass a medical evaluation based on provincial standard.
• Must be able to work off shifts & overtime as required.

Schedule & Pay

• Shift: 3rd Shift Sunday-Thursday 7:00PM-3:00AM & rotates on Saturdays from 6:00AM-2:00PM 
• Pay: $26 - $33 per hour DOE - PLUS OVERTIME
