Job DescriptionAs a Security Professional - Government Access Patrol in Columbus, OH , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.
As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a government location, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible. Your presence supports a secure environment through routine patrols, access control, and excellent customer service. You will interact with visitors and staff, utilizing technology to log activities and communicate clearly. - Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
- Monitor and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns as outlined in site-specific policies.
- Interact with the public and provide assistance as needed while maintaining a professional presence.
- Complete required documentation and incident reports in accordance with Allied Universal protocols.
- Remain alert and attentive while on patrol to help to deter security-related threats and maintain order at the location.

Minimum Requirements:
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
