SUMMARY
The Business Development Analyst will be responsible for assisting in the full lifecycle management of all doctor partnerships, contracting, joint ventures and practice acquisition transactions, including: pipeline management, market analytics, financial modeling, valuation and investment analysis of potential acquisitions, creation of memorandums and supporting documentation and all aspects of deal due diligence.
Additionally, this role will support preparation and post-close assistance of integration work streams and support the ECP's strategic analytics function. Business Development and Analytics represent fundamental core competencies of ECP's growth strategy.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Actively participate in and lead aspects of transactions and strategic growth analyses
- Manage the deal pipeline by researching industry dynamics, identifying and screening potential acquisitions, and tracking potential targets
- Assesses transaction and strategic opportunities through extensive analyses and develop business cases
- Lead cultivation of acquisition targets within served and adjacent markets
- Prepare financial, qualitative and valuation analyses, including: forecasts, cash flows, financial models, and other ad hoc financial analyses related to acquisition activities
- Develop and maintain complex financial valuation models for potential deals
- Support the internal/external due diligence process by managing interactions with all intermediaries (banker, broker, internal stakeholders, 3rd party advisors, etc.) involvement in potential and actual deals
- Maintain tracking and documentation for deals and support preparation of internal communications on investment
- Support the post-merger implementation/integration process with a dozen-plus internal business groups
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong finance/accounting and analytical skills
- Excellent MS Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Experience with data analytics using SQL and PowerBI
- Understanding of foundational valuation methodologies and terminology
- Ability to handle multiple, complex and competing priorities and projects
- Outstanding attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and make appropriate, independent decisions in a timely manner
- Must possess strong initiative and take ultimate ownership of work
- Solid work ethic and the ability to work through sensitive financial topics with business owners
- A strong desire to succeed coupled with high ethical standards
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Minimum Required: B.S. or B.A. in Finance, Business, Accounting or Economics
- Minimum Required: Zero to three years of experience in a finance or business background, particularly transaction execution experience in corporate development, investment banking, or accounting advisory

- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook

- This position is located in St Louis, Missouri and offers a hybrid work schedule. Candidates living in Alabama, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, N. Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Texas and Virginia may also be considered for remote work.
