Who You Are:

The Ideal candidate will have 1+ years relevant experience operating CNC equipment. Glass industry experience preferred.

What You Will Be Doing:

As a CNC Operator, you will be responsible for operating a CNC Water Jet Machine to fabricate glass, as well as perform preventative maintenance on the machine :

• Maintain a safety-first work environment, utilizing proactive safety and ensuring all associates adhere to personal protective gear requirements and standard operating procedures.

• Maintain equipment through operator level preventative maintenance.

• Report issues to maintenance and assist in troubleshooting and repairs.

• Maintain inventory of machine specific parts and materials.

• Handling, measuring, moving and lifting of glass for cutting, finishing and/or loading

• Move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, or containers, by hand or using other equipment throughout the warehouse as directed by management.

• Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs.

• Sort materials before loading and unloading.

• Ensure damaged product is placed in its proper area and reported to management

• Attach identifying tags to product or mark them with identifying information.

• Install protective devices, such as bracing, padding, or strapping, to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported.

• Adjust or replace equipment parts, such as rollers, belts, plugs, or caps, using hand tools.

• Carry needed tools or supplies from storage or trucks and return them after use.

• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

• Other duties and responsibilities as required .

Skills You Bring:

MINIMUM SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS include the following:

• Knowledge of and ability to follow all health, and safety, quality, and labor standards applying to his /her area of responsibility.

• Must have the ability to work cooperatively within a team environment.

• Knowledge or ability to learn equipment operations and maintenance

• Able to read a tape measure and match the correct label with the correct lite of glass.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints

• Strong attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and stick to a deadline .

• Ability to pass background and drug screen.
