MANTECH is seeking a motivated, career-oriented Principal Cyber Security Engineer to join our dynamic team in Chantilly, VA . In this role, you will lead cyber solution development and deployment in support of mission-critical cybersecurity operations. You will ensure the quality, reliability, and effectiveness of cyber solution components and work collaboratively within a high-performing technical team dedicated to securing our nations most sensitive systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and support Identity and Access Management (IAM) services, including directory, access, identity, and privileged access management functions.

  • Manage and maintain infrastructure in cloud and virtualized environments.

  • Perform system upgrades and patches across Linux and Windows platforms.

  • Design, engineer, and deploy Privileged Access Management (PAM) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) solutions.

  • Lead Continuous Monitoring (CONMON) activities to ensure system compliance and security posture.

  • Maintain system Authority to Operate (ATO) in alignment with cybersecurity standards and frameworks.

  • Provide timely status reporting and documentation within an Agile delivery environment.

  • Deliver periodic after-hours support as mission needs require.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; or an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of a degree.

  • 7+ years of professional experience in information technology or cybersecurity.

  • Hands-on experience with both Linux and Windows operating environments.

  • Proficiency with LDAP directories and database management.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain automation scripts to enhance operational efficiency.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven experience implementing and maintaining Privileged Access Management (PAM) tools.

  • Familiarity with Ansible and developing automation playbooks.

  • Working knowledge of PKI principles and Identity and Access Management (IAM) concepts.

  • Experience operating in Agile and DevOps environments.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to remain in a stationary position for up to 50% of the time.

  • May occasionally move about the office to access files, equipment, or collaborate with colleagues.

  • Must be able to communicate effectively through various channels (in-person, email, phone, or virtual meetings), including the ability to deliver technical presentations.
