The Pilates Fitness Instructor provides cutting-edge group fitness instruction through a variety of entertaining, educational, and fun classes promoting fitness and positive self-esteem in a safe environment. They act as a fitness resource for class participants and maintain positive relationships with members to encourage continued class attendance .

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Providing Pilates group reformer classes
• Instructing clients (up to 8 clients per class) using proper form and safe methods on a variety of equipment including, but not limited to, Reformer, mats, hand weights, etc. to ensure a safe, yet creative experience

• Work with all level of clients to provide challenging, fitness-based Pilates classes in a safe manner
• E ducates class participants on correct form and alternative moves during the fitness routine
• Attentively listens to members, answer questions, and engage in conversation before and after classes
• Visually inspecting the equipment prior to each class to ensure it is in good working order and safe to use
• Maintaining a clean and orderly workout environment; c leaning and organizing studio space after each class
• Building Fitness Center revenue by promoting membership sales

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have employment eligibility in the U.S.
• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
• Current CPR/AED/First Aid certification is required
• Current Reformer and mat Pilates Certification with 450 hours of experience or equivalent
• Experience teaching group classes
• Ability to demonstrate effective group reformer instruction
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively, effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds at all levels of the organization
• Energetic, positive and motivational teaching style
• Capable of using a contemporary approach to classical exercises
• Punctual, reliable and dedicated
• Focus on customer service, including professional and effective communication skills
