Required Skills:

    Job Summary: This position will assist the CFO in all financial planning, accounting, payroll, insurance audits, budgeting and any other clerical and fiscal duties involving financial record keeping and/or transactions relating to the companies finance, including payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchasing, licenses, permits, property and contract management, etc.

    Job Duties:  

  • Maintain accounts payable, accounts receivable and other records.

  • Assist in preparing and balancing various reports, forms and documents required for each job.

  • Bank reconciliations, monthly reports

  • Renew and upkeep of all insurances, certifications and business licenses and corporations for all companies.

  • Perform and submit all insurance audits.

  • Communicate with all staff to maintain each job's profit margin.  Analyze and report on a monthly basis each profit and loss.

  • Analyze and maintain KPI (key performance indicators) report as well as hours report for payroll purposes.

  • Process wage garnishments, loans and any other payroll related duty

  • Process invoices, payments and all related credits in QBO.

  • Enroll and maintain compliance with OCIP/CCIP enrollments, including the monthly submission of certified payroll.

  • Perform independent, advanced technical duties to plan, organize, coordinate and participate in the timely preparation of all financial needs accurately and efficiently.

    • Ability to:

  • Develop and utilize complex spreadsheets and accounting software.

  • Operate office equipment.

  • Perform numeric data entry at a sufficient level.

  • Maintain accurate and interrelated financial, payroll and related records.

  • Make mathematical computations with accuracy.

  • Prepare accurate related reports.

  • Work independently when required.

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.

  • Analyze situations accurately and adopt an effective course of action.

  • Meet schedules and timelines.

  • Plan and organize work.

  • Work confidentially and with discretion.

  • Communicate effectively with everyone.

    • Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, including supplemental courses in general accounting.  Formal training in accounting equivalent to 2 years of college preferred.

  • Minimum 1 year of accounting/data entry experience as well as experience with computerized spreadsheets and word processing is required.

  • Other requirements: 

  • Fulfillment of I-9/E-Verify requirements – ability to present documents for legal employment verification.

  • Must pass background check through FDLE 

  • Must pass a drug test and submit to random testing

    • Employment benefits:  

  • Full time employment, Monday thru Friday in office only with a maximum of 50  hours per week.   

  • 7 major paid holidays 

  • 2 weeks paid vacation per year - First week available after 6 months of employment.

  • 5 PTO days per year.

  • Yearly performance reviews with 3% to 5% increase per year.

  • Ability to conduct Tax Research
