The community you'll be caring for: AdventHealth Hendersonville

The role you'll contribute: The Breast Imaging Coordinator will interface with the breast health team and assist with the coordination of all aspects of screening mammography; diagnostic imaging; clinical evaluation; support services and education for women receiving services at the Imaging Center. The Imaging Coordinator serves as a primary point of intake; assuring patients have appropriate, timely, medical and supportive services. In addition, this position supports: data collection, tumor board processes/participation and marketing/community outreach efforts.

  • Facilitates an evidence-based, multidisciplinary approach to breast cancer care throughout the diagnostic continuum.
  • Educates, recruits, tracks, and follows up with women who receive abnormal breast cancer screening results to ensure access to diagnostic evaluation and biopsy if needed.
  • Contacts referring clinicians when patients need further diagnostic evaluation or breast biopsy.
  • Monitors patient scheduling and preparation for radiological guided breast biopsy, including MRI, PEM, ultrasound, and stereotactic core biopsy.
  • Ensures patient understanding of breast biopsy procedures and assists with imaging breast biopsies as needed.

Qualifications

The expertise and experience you'll need to succeed:

1 years in mammography, sonography, or nursing [Required]

Licenses and Certifications:

Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]

Registered Mammographer (RTMARRT) [Required] OR

Registered Nurse (RN) [Required] OR

American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARMDS) [Required] OR

Registered Technologist - Sonography (R.T.(S)(ARRT)) [Required]
