Nursing Assistant

The Nursing Assistant position at Libermann Hall covers shifts 7am-2pm and 2pm-9pm, Monday through Sunday. The position is a part-time position, 2-3 shifts per week. The nursing assistant reports to the Nurse Manager. Competitive Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

• CNA certification is preferred but not required

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Works under the direction of the Managing Nurse, orientation will be provided
• Assists residents to perform activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Assists with transferring and ambulating
• Encourages exercise and activities
• Assists with meals
• Provides a safe and clean environment by ensuring best practices in hygiene and by clearing areas of hazards 
• Monitors the mental and physical conditions of residents and provides updates to the Nurse Manager
• Interacts with residents to keep them engaged, provide comfort and build trusting relationships
• Accountable to follow and adhere to care plans for residents and all applicable rules, rules, regulations and policies
• Monitor medication compliance
• Understands general nursing care procedures and terminology
