Job Description
The thrill of the holidays is quickly approaching our Uncle Giuseppe's Stores! We are actively seeking a SEASONAL Part-Time Customer Service Clerk for our Ramsey, NJ store. This seasonal position will run from early October to the first week of December 2025 and offers a salary of $21.05/hour. Since this is a Seasonal position, there are no company benefits associated with this temporary job.
Our Customer Service Clerks assist customers by answering customer questions at our service desk and provide helpful suggestions about our products and services.
Responsibilities
- Open and maintain customer loyalty accounts by recording account information
- Resolve product or service problems by clarifying the customer's complaint; determining the cause of the problem; selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem; expediting correction or adjustment; following up to ensure resolution
- The Customer Service clerk will process customer refunds as requested
- Recommend potential products or services to management by collecting customer information and assessing customer needs
- Will answer incoming calls and identify and assess customers' needs
- Will build sustainable relationships of trust through open and interactive communication
- Will handle complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits, and follow up to ensure resolution
- Follow communication procedures, guidelines, and policies of our store
- Resolve customer complaints via phone, email, mail, or social media
- Greet customers warmly, assist customers with their accounts, orders, refunds, exchanges and questions
- Process payment transactions
- Other duties and functions as assigned
Requirements
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- Must have excellent customer service skills with a least one year of experience working in a retail customer service role
- Familiar with CRM systems and practices
- Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of customers
- Must be able to speak, read and communicate in the English language
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively
