Staff Accountant

Dynamic CPA firm is currently seeking a full-time Staff Accountant to join their team. With offices in New York City, Miami Lakes, and West Palm Beach, Florida, you will join a team of bright professionals providing accounting and tax services to clients in various industries. You must be able to manage projects, work under deadlines, multitask, and communicate effectively. You should be organized, proactive, and results oriented. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Delivering a full range of bookkeeping and tax services for multiple clients within a designated timeframe
• Full knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles & financial data analysis.
• Journal entries, Reconciliations, Financial Statements
• Preparation of federal tax returns - (1040, 1041, 1120S, 1065, etc.)
• Review of IRS notices and correspondence
• Hands-on approach with clientele as you develop and maintain relationships
• Client billing

Qualifications:

• 3-5  years of professional  bookkeeping/accounting experience
• Experience working in a CPA firm (preferred but not required)
• BA/BS degree in Accounting
• Knowledge in preparation of a tax return (preferred but not required)
• Process-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent research, writing, and communication skills in English.
• Solid organizational skills and ability to multitask
• Ability to work extra hours as necessary to complete tasks
• Exceptional client service, along with the ability to develop excellent client relationships

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience using CCH Axcess Tax (preferred but no required)
• QuickBooks (required)
