Inpatient Pharmacist

Job Title: Inpatient Pharmacist
Location: Whittier, CA
Duration: 26 weeks
Hours: 40 guaranteed hours per week
Shift: Night shift (4x10’s, 2000 - 0630)
Schedule:

• Designated week runs Sunday to Sunday

• Start day for 7 on/7 off schedule is Thursday (work 3 days one week, 4 days the next)

• Required to work weekends and holidays if your 7 days on/off fall on those days

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of experience required

• First-time travelers accepted

Certifications Required:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• PharmD

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

Skills & Knowledge Required:

• Inpatient / Acute care pharmacy

• Anticoagulants

• Cardiac dosing

• Clinical dosing

• Geriatric dosing

• High-risk medication management

• Pediatric dosing

• Pharmacokinetic dosing

• Psychotherapeutic management

• Renal dosing

• Therapeutic medication monitoring

• Warfarin dosing

• Antibiotics

• Compounding

• IV Piggyback and IV Push medications

• Pain controlled analgesia

• Sterile technique

• Carousel system experience

• Cardiovascular and neurologic medication knowledge

• Code response experience

• Orientation days on day shift before switching to nights
