What You’ll Do
As a Project Sales Representative – Fire Sprinkler Systems, you’ll work with clients to design, propose, and close fire sprinkler projects, ensuring their systems meet NFPA standards and local compliance requirements. You will serve as a trusted advisor, guiding clients through the complex world of fire protection.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities through networking, referrals, cold calling, and participation in industry events.
- Conduct on-site evaluations to assess client fire protection needs and design compliant fire sprinkler solutions.
- Prepare and deliver detailed proposals and professional presentations to decision-makers.
- Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and design to project close.
- Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients to generate repeat business and long-term partnerships.
- Partner closely with operations, engineering, and installation teams to ensure smooth project handoffs and customer satisfaction.
- Stay current on NFPA codes, local regulations, and advancements in sprinkler system technology.
- Maintain accurate activity records, opportunities, and outcomes in the CRM system.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking industry-experienced sales professionals who understand the technical and regulatory requirements of fire sprinkler systems and can confidently guide clients through complex projects.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of proven sales experience in fire sprinkler systems, fire protection, or related life safety industries (required).
- Strong knowledge of NFPA 13, NFPA 25, and related fire protection codes.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and hydraulic calculations.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred but not required.
Performance Metrics:
Your success will be measured by your ability to consistently meet or exceed key metrics:
- 25 outbound calls per day to develop new business.
- Regular follow-up appointments to build relationships and close deals.
- Annual project quota: $1.2 million, set annually and communicated each January.

Compensation & Benefits:
- On-Target Earnings (OTE): $120,000 – $150,000 annually (base + uncapped commission)
