Job Description

Therapist (Full-Time, W-2) — Trauma & Behavioral Addiction Therapist

Location: Farmington Hills, MI (In-Office Role)
Pay Range: $50,000 – $110,000 annually (W-2 position)

“Redefining recovery — where healers and clients grow together, transforming trauma into purpose, compassion into change, one heart and one story at a time.”

About Thrive Beyond Trauma Counseling

Thrive Beyond Trauma Counseling is a specialized, heart-centered private practice dedicated to helping individuals, couples, and partners heal from trauma, betrayal trauma, and behavioral addictions such as porn, sex, and love addiction. We combine compassion with clinical excellence, offering a warm, evidence-based space for true transformation.

As we grow from an individual to a group practice, we’re looking for passionate, driven, and grounded therapists who are ready to specialize deeply and help redefine how people heal from trauma and addiction.

Message from the Founder

“When I started Thrive Beyond Trauma Counseling, I wasn’t trying to build another therapy office — I wanted to build a home for healers and a space for true change.
We’re on a mission to help people break free from shame, trauma, and behavioral addictions — and to make that care accessible to everyone, not just those who can pay out-of-pocket.
Our dream reaches beyond therapy rooms: from TED-style awareness talks to creating global programs that normalize recovery and make healing affordable.
Thrive is where compassion meets excellence. It’s where clinicians are supported, mentored, and inspired to grow — not only in their careers but also as humans.
If you feel called to be part of that kind of change, this is where you belong.”

Position Overview

We’re seeking a full-time W-2 therapist to join our Farmington Hills team.
You’ll provide individual, couples, and (as ready) group therapy for clients healing from trauma, betrayal trauma, and behavioral addictions. Thrive provides full support — so you can focus on the work you love most: therapy.

What We Offer

  • Competitive W-2 compensation: $50,000 – $100,000/year, based on experience and specialization

  • Paid advanced certifications: EMDR, Gottman, CSAT, CCPS (covered by Thrive)

  • Supervision and case consultations provided at no cost

  • Full administrative, billing, and marketing support — you’ll never have to manage scheduling or client intake alone

  • Flexible full-time schedule with a healthy caseload balance

  • Medical coverage available

  • Holistic environment — integration of hypnotherapy, breathwork and other healing modalities

  • Collaborative culture with weekly team check-ins, mentorship breakfasts, and ongoing professional growth

Who You Are

  • LLPC, LPC, LLMSW, LMSW, or LMFT in Michigan

  • Passionate about trauma, partner betrayal, and behavioral addiction work

  • Growth-oriented, heart-centered, and driven toward excellence

  • Eager to master advanced trauma modalities and help redefine healing

  • Excited to be part of a movement that combines compassion with change

At Thrive, you’ll never have to worry about operations, billing, or marketing — we handle everything, so your focus remains where it belongs: with your clients and your professional mastery.
