POSITION PROFILE
The Advanced Technology Technician will apply various technologies to test and modify Fabricated company machines and fixtures from drawing/ design stage to completion and implementation. This individual will serve as the primary resource for ensuring efficiency and productivity by evaluating and modifying equipment.
Responsibilities Include:
• Fabrication of production equipment, tools and fixtures, including special purpose machines.
• Complete associated paperwork, including equipment build records, mark up any changes to drawings and/or schematics.
• Actively collaborate with key members of product development to communicate issues and make recommendations.
• Ensures compliance with health and safety laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Active involvement with the implementation of LEAN and Kaizen concepts
• Must be able to assemble and troubleshoot special purpose machines designed and built within the Advance Technology Department
• Must be able to work on own initiative to complete projects on a tight schedule
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
• Previous experience in machining, welding and assembly of tools, fixtures, and special purpose machines.
• 5 or more years of SolidWorks 3D design software and Auto CAD mechanical design/drafting.
• Skilled at reading and interpret measuring and metering devices.
Education Requirements:
• High School Degree or GED Equivalent
• Trade School or other training certifications
REQUIRED SKILLS
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven ability to clearly communicate with engineering, technical support, sales, and management.
• Thorough understanding of products and equipment used in manufacturing.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills, with proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
