Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Optometrist to join our growing team in the Albuquerque–Santa Fe Metropolitan Area. This role can be structured as full-time or part-time, depending on your availability and preferences.

As an Optometrist, you will provide comprehensive eye care services, including eye exams, diagnosis and treatment of visual conditions, and prescribing corrective lenses. You will play a key role in managing the overall ocular health of our patients, educating them on best eye care practices, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to deliver holistic care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine and comprehensive eye exams for patients of all ages

• Diagnose and manage ocular diseases and conditions

• Prescribe eyeglasses and contact lenses, and adjust prescriptions as needed

• Educate patients on proper eye care, lens usage, and overall ocular health

• Refer patients to ophthalmologists or other specialists when necessary

• Maintain accurate and thorough patient records in compliance with HIPAA and clinic standards

• Stay informed on the latest developments in optometric care, treatments, and technologies

• Collaborate with fellow healthcare professionals to ensure integrated patient care

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry program

• Active and unrestricted license to practice Optometry in the state of New Mexico

• Proven experience conducting comprehensive eye exams and diagnosing ocular conditions

• Proficiency in prescribing corrective lenses and managing vision care plans

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care

• Excellent diagnostic and clinical decision-making abilities

• Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education

Schedule & Availability:

• Flexible schedule options available: Full-time or Part-time

• Monday–Friday preferred, some weekends may be discussed based on availability
