General Practice (Veterinarian)

Introduction
Our client is a well-established equine practice located in Wichita, Kansas, dedicated exclusively to the care of horses. They are currently seeking an Equine Veterinarian to join their growing team. This full-service equine hospital has been serving the surrounding community for over 50 years and is recognized for its commitment to practicing excellent medicine with a focus on sports medicine, reproduction, and general equine care.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Saturdays from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm, with no business hours on Sundays. A full-time schedule consists of four working days per week with rotating Saturday coverage. They are open to discussing both full-time and part-time opportunities to suit the right candidate's availability.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The role involves providing comprehensive equine care, both in-hospital and through ambulatory services. Clinical responsibilities cover a broad range of services including internal medicine, surgery, dentistry, wellness care, and more. The position offers opportunities to handle a variety of cases, with a primary focus on sports medicine, reproduction, and general equine care. This role is open to experienced veterinarians only.

Practice Details
The practice is equipped with varied diagnostic and treatment tools, including radiology, endoscopy, ultrasound, and in-house laboratory services. They operate in a supportive and collaborative environment, fostering a culture of professional growth and teamwork.

Team
The current veterinary team includes three DVMs, supported by a strong, team-oriented staff of highly trained professionals. The clinic emphasizes a collaborative approach to care, with veterinarians and support staff working closely together to achieve the best outcomes for their patients and manage complex cases as a united team.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
