General Practice (Veterinarian)

Introduction
Our client is a busy, full-service veterinary hospital in Southgate, MI, that is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their team. The hospital provides care primarily for cats and dogs, with opportunities to see avian and exotic species at the doctor's discretion.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm, Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Saturday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. It is closed on Sundays. The schedule for doctors is open to discussion, and the hospital is open to considering both full-time and part-time candidates.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This is a full-service general practice role, suited to an experienced veterinarian. The position encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including but not limited to wellness care, dentistry, internal medicine, and surgery. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing a varied caseload and delivering high-quality, comprehensive care.

Practice Details
The hospital has been dedicated to providing the highest quality care to patients in the Detroit area since 1953. The team offers a wide array of services including routine and dental care, internal medicine, and daytime emergency appointments in a fully renovated hospital equipped with the latest in medical technology. As a full-service hospital, they provide wellness exams, vaccinations, dental care, internal medicine, and cold laser therapy. The practice is very well equipped and known for its supportive environment.

Team
The hospital is home to a team of three DVMs and is supported by a well-staffed support team. The environment is collaborative, with an emphasis on mentorship and teamwork.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
