Job Description
UPS is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Processing Associate to join our team. This role involves working with payroll data to ensure accurate and timely pay for employees. Candidates must be able to maintain confidentiality, possess strong math and typing skills, and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Prior payroll experience is preferred but not requiredcomprehensive training will be provided.
Pay Rate: $18.50 per hour
Schedule:

MonTues: 7:00 AM 5:30 PM

WedFri: 7:00 AM 1:00 PM

Process manual check requests using UPS payroll systems

Communicate effectively with internal and external contacts regarding payroll concerns

Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive payroll data

Utilize internal web-based systems (e.g., Time and Labor)

Accurately input data using 10-key calculator and keyboard (40+ WPM typing speed required)

Analyze payroll issues and statements with strong attention to detail

Support union and non-union wage plans (training provided)

Work some weekends and holidays as business needs dictate

Be adaptable to schedule changes and required overtime

High school diploma or equivalent
-
Strong math and analytical skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Typing speed of 40+ words per minute

Proficiency using a 10-key calculator

Basic skills in Microsoft Excel and Access (data entry focus)

Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in a deadline-driven environment

Positive attitude, dependable, and a quick learner

Payroll experience is a plus, but not required
