Police Officer

The City of Holdrege is accepting applications for the position of Police Officer. Applicants must be U.S. Citizens, 21 years of age, in excellent physical condition, and have a valid Nebraska driver’s license on the date of employment. All candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, be of good moral character with no felony, domestic assault, or serious misdemeanor convictions, and meet all requirements for attending the Nebraska Law Enforcement Training Center's basic or reciprocity training course.

The annual wage ranges from $55,681.60 to $71,302.40, with the starting salary determined by the candidate’s qualifications.

NLETC Certified Officer Benefit: The City of Holdrege offers Nebraska Certified Law Enforcement Officers a $3,000 graduated sign-on bonus and 40 hours of compensatory time for a three-year minimum full-time commitment to the Holdrege Police Department.

Benefits include uniforms, duty equipment, vacation, sick leave, holidays, term life insurance, 100% paid health insurance (single or family coverage), and an employer-matched retirement plan. Certification is preferred but not required for hiring.
