About this opportunity

MillerKnoll's Summer Internship Program is a paid, 12-week opportunity that provides a 100% real-world experience for students early in their careers. Throughout the summer you will apply academic learning to real-world situations and cultivate leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Graphic Design Intern to join our Brand Creative team. You will w ork closely with the internal design team, merchandising, and marketing teams to bring campaign concepts to life. This role will proactively contribute to creative thinking for project needs.

  • Research competitive landscape of branding within the premium to luxury modern home furnishings industry
  • Research on modern design graphic references within home furnishings industry
  • Assist graphic design team on routine layouts
  • Assist graphic design team on creative concepting
  • Maintain and organize marketing archive

What You Bring
The needed skills and experience for this role include ...

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong visual communication skills across 2D platforms.
  • Excellent organizational and file management skills
  • Creative thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • In-depth understanding of aesthetics and cultural trends in interiors and home furnishings.
  • Positive attitude, with a willingness to learn.
  • Demonstrates professionalism, maturity, self-awareness, empathy, and emotional intelligence while understanding business goals
  • Must be flexible and adaptable to changes in business, corporate, or project strategy.

Education

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Industrial Design, Architecture or Product Design, or a related field.
  • You must have a GPA of at least 3.0 (overall or within your program) to qualify for consideration in the Intern Program.

Qualifications

  • Must be authorized to work in the US and will not require sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Must be able to perform all essential functions of the position with or withoutaccommodations

Compensation range for this role is $22.00 - $24.00. Relevant salary considerations will include candidate qualifications and experience, other business/organizational needs and market factors . You may also be eligible to receive a geographic premium, annual discretionary incentive and equity awards which are subject to the rules governing these programs.
