ACCOUNTS PAYABLE Location: Golf Club House Duration of job: Part-time 30 hrs/week Days worked: 3-5 days as scheduled Weekend work: No Pay rate: $35/hr Benefits: Paid sick time, paid vacation (if regularly scheduled for 30 hours or more), 401k plan, dining and retail discounts, use of golf and lake amenities, holiday bonus Position Summary: Accounts Payable assists with invoicing and billing. May also assist in the day-to-day operations of the Accounting Office. BASIC & CORE ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Primary Duties include: Accounts Payable: Managing accounts payable using accounting software and other programs Handling accounts payable for separate entities and vendors Establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing vendors Ensuring bills and contract payroll are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures Processing due invoices for payments Comparing purchase orders, prices, terms of payment and other charges Processing transactions and performing accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries and reconciling books of accounts Other Accounting Duties: Special projects under the guidance of the Club Controller Other functions as required and directed by the Club Controller Pick up mail from the post office, sort, and open accounting-related mail. Drive to bank, post office, etc. as needed to pick up/drop off mail/ documents. Supervisory Duties: None Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: High school diploma required; college degree preferred. Accounting/audit experience preferred. Strong verbal, and written communication and organizational skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects and s and projects and meet deadlines. Proficient in Excel and office equipment. Must have a valid Colorado drivers license, reliable transportation and meet Catamounts insurance requirements. Language Skills: Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from Staff Accountant and Club Controller, staff, members, vendors, and the general public. Mathematical Skills: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. General knowledge of basic accounting processes Equipment Directly Used: Computer with MS Office software, copier, multi-line telephone, calculator/10-key, and various printers Proficient knowledge of all Microsoft Office programs, especially EXCEL, is required. General knowledge of accounting software is helpful. Working Environmental/Physical Activities: The work week is approximately 30 hours and will be determined by business levels.
