Location: Mauston, WI
Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–6:00 PM or 9:00 AM–7:00 PM; Every 3rd Saturday, 8:00 AM–1:00 PM

Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Retail Pharmacist for a 13-week assignment in Mauston, WI. This position ensures that medications are procured, prepared, dispensed, and administered safely, legally, and effectively in a retail pharmacy setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in community pharmacy operations and patient interaction, and must be licensed in the state of Wisconsin.

Essential Job Duties:

• Accurately dispense medications in accordance with federal and state regulations.

• Perform and supervise pharmaceutical compounding activities.

• Input, verify, and process prescriptions.

• Provide verbal counseling and clinical pharmacy services to patients.

• Conduct therapeutic drug monitoring and pharmacokinetic dosing consultations.

• Administer vaccines as appropriate.

• Perform inventory control tasks including ordering, receiving, stocking, and shipping medications.

• Take and process verbal prescriptions per legal requirements.

• Oversee and mentor pharmacy technicians and interns.

• Ensure compliance with all Medicare accreditation standards, as well as internal policies and procedures.

• Provide drug information and patient education in a clear and professional manner.

• Participate in ongoing quality control and assurance programs.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Professional pharmacy degree (PharmD preferred).

• Active Wisconsin Pharmacist License — or a Temporary WI License with the requirement to obtain full licensure within 60 days.

• Must maintain current and valid pharmacist licensure throughout assignment.

• BLS certification required.

• Minimum 1 year of retail/community pharmacy experience required.

• Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.

• Shifts:

  • Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM–6:00 PM or 9:00 AM–7:00 PM

  • Every 3rd Saturday: 8:00 AM–1:00 PM

• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week

• No on-call requirement

• First-time travelers accepted: Yes
