Position: Remote Litigation Paralegal
Client: Government Agency
Engagement Type: Temporary 12-month assignment with potential for extension
Start Date: September/October (onboarding may be staggered)
Pay Rate: $20-$29/hour
Schedule: Full-time, MondayFriday, aligned with Eastern Standard Time business hours
Location: Fully Remote (equipment will be provided)
Overview:
A leading government agency is seeking a detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to support a dynamic legal team on a long-term project. This fully remote opportunity offers meaningful work and the chance to contribute to a high-impact legal initiative.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Draft legal documents, including settlement agreements and internal memoranda
- Manage intake, review, and assignment of incoming complaints
- Prepare and file Motions of Appearance
- Schedule and participate in status conferences
- Handle correspondence and client communication with professionalism
- Provide general legal and administrative support
- Accurately perform data entry and case documentation
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with prior experience as a paralegal
- Ability to commit to the entire duration of the assignment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
- Comfortable managing a fast-paced and high-volume workload
- Proficiency with various legal and administrative software systems
