Job Summary:
Seeking a junior program manager to serve as Deputy PM in support of government contracts to assist the Senior Program Manager in managing cost, schedule, performance, and compliance requirements for government contracts. The Deputy coordinates daily program operations, interfaces with Government representatives, and supports contract administration activities in tandem with the Senior Program Manager. The position is designed for a professional with early-to-mid-level program management experience who is seeking professional growth while broadening leadership management skills.
This role is onsite in Springfield, VA and may be eligible for hybrid schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Program Manager with daily contract administration, task order execution, and program reporting.
- Act as the alternate POC for the Program Manager, assuming delegated required responsibilities.
- Support monitoring and tracking of program budgets, labor hours, ODCs, and subcontractor costs.
- Assist in the preparation of deliverables, status reports, and presentations for Government stakeholders.
- Track contract compliance, performance metrics, and schedules to ensure requirements are to the customers expectations.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely and compliant execution of assigned tasks.
- Support the development of proposals, staffing plans, and cost estimates for new and follow-on work.
- Participate in risk management, issue resolution, and needed escalation to the Program Manager.
- Maintain records, correspondence, and program documentation in accordance with contract and company standards.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration within the program team, subcontractors, and the customer.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Business Administration, Management, Science or a related field.
- A minimum of three (3) years of project or program management support experience.
- Familiarity with government contracting processes, FAR/DFARS, and contract types (FFP, T&M, CPFF).
- Strong organizational, communication skills, and conflict resolution.
- Work well under pressure, prioritize tasks, and manage competing deadlines.
- Secret or Top Secret clearance eligible.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Federal contracting experience.
- PMP or CAPM certification preferred but not required.
- Active Secret or Top Secret clearance.
