The Facility Maintenance Technician I will be part of our Real Estate and Development team and will have an assigned territory of properties.
A Facility Maintenance Technician I at Monte Nido is responsible for executing on all aspects of facility management across their assigned properties. The region for this role will include properties in a limited geographic area and will consist of owned and leased homes, medical office, hospitals, general office and residential apartments, and any other type of properties brought into the portfolio in the future. Performs basic and routine facilities maintenance, construction, and repair tasks according to service, quality, and safety standards. Following standard operating procedures, installs, inspects, repairs, and performs preventative maintenance to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management systems. Assists with miscellaneous facility projects, including painting, drywall, carpentry, installation of fixtures, and moving furniture or materials within the facility. Utilizes a work order system to log activities as required. Works with or assists trades contractors to complete projects or complex repairs. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor..
This is a Full time position: Monday-Friday evening shift - 3pm-11:30pm.

Responsibilities Include:- Execute on the full scope of facility maintenance for all property types within the assigned territory, which will include self-performance of facility maintenance tasks and execution of preventive maintenance programs and initiatives.
- Assist in the completion of routine inspections / audits to track physical condition of the locations and the contents.
- Monitor and ensure a safe and comfortable environment for clients and team.
- Form strong relationships, built on trust and accountability with location management to manage location maintenance, security concerns, and emergency preparedness.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with all Landlords, Property Managers, etc. to ensure a direct link is formed for all location needs and any issues are addressed timely.
- Assist in contract negotiations, as needed, with third party vendors for supplies and services not covered by national contracts within the Facility Maintenance department.
- Ensure all records of preventative maintenance, facility maintenance work, vendor contracts, and invoicing are maintained as needed, and all updates as required in the facility maintenance system are made in a timely and accurate manner.
- Serve as a reliable resource for all facility needs of the locations.
- Assist as needed in the maintenance of the locations vehicle fleet to ensure safety, reliability, and compliance.
- Maintain awareness as needed of all vehicles associated with their locations and ensure accurate tracking is in place for use of the vehicles via logs that are routinely audited for accuracy and completion.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders as required to ensure alignment with local operations.
- Work collaboratively with Operations to execute facility maintenance needs and services.
- Assist in survey preparations as needed.
- Perform all other tasks as assigned.
- A minimum of 0-1 year experience in facilities management and / or related experience in the construction / project supervision environment. Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with health care standards of housekeeping and those services in a hospital setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to facility maintenance and construction.
- Understanding of the construction process (preferred).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to communicate complex ideas clearly.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
Travel Requirements:
- This role will require travel > 50% at times, but the length of travel is limited given the size of the territory.
- Travel needs to be assessed based on the needs to manage assigned centers and needs of the FM team.
