Job Description


Principal Duties/Responsibilities:

· Plans sequence of work for all calibration/gage lab activities for all customers.

· Reports on job status for all customer inquiries

· Maintains job list for lab

· Plans sequence of operations.

· Confers with department managers and/or supervisors to determine status of scheduled tasks.

· Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.

· Prepares customer performance data in appropriate format.

· Develops, maintains, and continuously improves the scheduling program.

· Interfaces with Purchasing, Receiving, Logistics and Accounting.

· Plays an integral role in improving processes.

· Participates in all ISO17025/ATS/Customer systems and procedures to ensure conformance.

· Participates actively in weekly and monthly team meetings.

· May maintain Standards and Processes Manuals; may travel approximately 20% of the time.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (KSAs), & Competencies:

Essential KSAs:

· Associates degree from a two-year college or technical institution and one year experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Desirable KSAs:

· Skilled in organizing, overseeing, and successfully managing processes and projects.

· Outstanding people and communication skills for interaction with customers, technicians, operators, and management.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands/fingers to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb, ascend/descend or balance to heights that may require a ladder or lift; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl in confined spaces; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds. The employee is regularly required to use close vision and color vision. The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. Work is typically performed in a factory environment and is usually very loud. In the factory environment, the employee may be exposed to hazardous materials and/or greasy or slippery factory floors.
