General Practice (Veterinarian)

Our client is a reputable hospital located near downtown Tampa and just minutes from Florida's Gulf Coast beaches, seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join their dedicated team. This clinic is known for delivering compassionate, high-quality care and fostering lasting relationships with pets and their owners. With a strong team culture and a commitment to medical excellence, this opportunity is ideal for a veterinarian who values both clinical skill and collaboration.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position offering a 4- or 5-day work week to support work/life balance. The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and on Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. It is closed on Sundays.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will be confident and capable in both the exam room and surgery suite, taking on responsibilities such as routine and advanced surgeries, interpreting lab results, developing and implementing medical protocols, mentoring the team, and fostering strong client relationships. This position is open to both experienced veterinarians and newer graduates ready to grow within a supportive environment.

Practice Details
The hospital is currently equipped with all-new diagnostic equipment including ultrasound, dental machines, and dental x-ray. The team is preparing to move into a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility in Fall 2025, which will further enhance patient care and team experience. Services offered include in-hospital pharmacy and lab services, dentistry, flea and heartworm prevention, preventative medicine, wellness exams, radiology, microchipping, pain management, and chiropractic care.

Team
The team consists of 4 DVMs and 9 support staff members working in a collaborative, positive environment that encourages teamwork and mentorship.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
