CNC Machine Operator, Tool Room Machinist

Rockford Tool and Mfg. Co. is an ISO 9001:2015 certified job shop loated in a 14,000 sq. ft. building in Eastrock Industrial Park.  We specialize in low volume precision machining and sheet metal stamping dies. Our equiptment includes vertical machining centers ( including 5 axis), turning with live tooling, sinker and Wire EDM.  Our machines and software are late model. The company has been in business for 31 years and the tool room is air conditioned.  This job is perfect for someone who is self motivated and ambitious. Job shop experience is a plus.

We are seeking an experience machinist for a full or part time position. Ideal canididates will have a wealth of industry knowledge, a keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to quality work.  We value the dedication and reliability that comes with experience.  Flexible hours and a supportive work environment offered.

Requirements for the Tool Room Machinist

• Set up and operate Tool Room equiptment including manual mills, manual lathes, surface grinders and other machine shop equiptment.
• CNC experience a plus but not required.
• ProtoTRAK experience is a plus but we will train.
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
• Have the ability to work within close tolerance.
• Have the ability to comprehend blueprints and inspect your own work.
• Be challenged with a variety of tasks  and not tied down to one routine.
• Prefer someone with 3 years or more experience.
• Must have own tools.
• Pay is determined on experience.
