Field Installer

Join Our Team as a Field Installer in either Indianappolis, IN or Gahanna, OH

Are you looking for a hands-on role where you can showcase your skills in maintenance and installation? Suburban Steel Supply, Inc. is seeking a Field Installer to join our team in Indianappolis, IN (live near Indianappolis and able to commute to different locations daily) and we are looking for an erector to work out of our Gahanna, OH office (this position travels overnight throughout the week, no weekends). As a Field Installer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the functionality and safety of our equipment and facilities. Daily Responsibilities:

• Perform general pre-trip maintance on vehicle and job site
• Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance
• Install steel beams and columns for all kinds of work and locations 
• Read and interpret blueprints for accurate installations
• Utilize hand tools for various repair and maintenance tasks

Qualification Summary:

• Previous experience in welding, fabrication, job-site construction, or other related fields strongly peferred
• Familiarity with hand tools and ability to accurately read a tape measure
• This is a physical, outdoor job, so being able to safely meet the physical requirements of the role and work in changing jobsite and fluctuating weather conditions is a must
• Physical ability to lift 50lbs throughout the day
• Customer service focused while also adhering to company and OSHA safety standards at all times

Salary and Benefits:

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $44,000 to $52,000 annually. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, life insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, 401(k), health savings accounts (HSAs), holiday pay, paid time off, paid parental leave, long-term disability, short-term disability, incentive pay, and employee ownership.
