The is not for the faint of heart. The Tree Mek Operator position is important to the success of Cutting Edge because it is the single most productive machine in the tree care world. A master operator enables us to perform the most dangerous of tree work projects in the most safe and efficient manner. It also gives us a big edge on our local competitors by towering above trees and houses in neighborhoods as a literal monument of our superiority in the public eye.

Crane Operator Responsibilities and Duties:

• Knuckle Boom Crane operating for tree removals.
• Knuckle Boom Crane operating for construction.
• Groundwork such as felling trees, pruning, running equipment, raking, and leaf blowing.
• Crane operating in tandem with tree climbers.
• Maintaining equipment.
• Participating in daily safety training.
• Pretripping trucks and equipment.
• Reading, understanding, and following digital work orders.
• Properly completing Pre-job Hazard forms.
• Properly completing Job Completion/Feedback reports.
• Effectively communicating with team members, sales reps, and customers to accomplish the goal.
• Adhering to safety guidelines.
• Performing work in accordance with best practices, policies, and procedures (OSHA, ANSI z133 and NCCCO standards).

Crane Operator Optimal Qualifications and Skills:

• 2+ Years crane experience.
• Articulating Boom Crane (ABC) Operator Certification (NCCCO)
• 2+ Years of tree work experience.
• Commercial Driver’s License.
• Transportation to and from work.
• Must be coachable.
• Good attitude.
• Work ethic.
