WKMG Creative Services is looking for a dynamic producer with demonstrated skills in videography, photography, writing, design, editing, and sound design. The right person for this job thrives in news, promotion and digital storytelling, as your primary client is a hyper-local, community focused, hard-news News 6 brand. From your work as producer, to in the field, to the final edit, we're looking for someone who has an eye for memorable moments, an ear for compelling sound, a passion for embracing all things digital, and has exceptional editing skills to pull it all together. And this person is a highly engaged team member and communicator.

Job Description

As our primary brand image, topical and multi-platform content producer, your work will be seen everywhere. You will produce seamlessly between all platforms including digital, social media and television. You will tackle station, news project and sales assignments.

Responsibilities

• • Produce, shoot and edit content in a style that is professional, cutting-edge, and reflects contemporary storytelling standards and production techniques.
  • Ability to move comfortably and efficiently between independent and team projects, and across all departments.
  • Work closely with the Creative Services Director, News Director, Digital team , and Sales to create compelling content.
  • Meet tight deadlines that sometimes shift with little to no notice.
  • Maintain station equipment; keeping gear clean, in good repair and stored properly.
  • Stay on top of emerging digital, social, and video production standards and practices.
  • Understand computer/IT workflows, file transfers and must be able to troubleshoot technical challenges.
  • Can demonstrate exceptional customer service skills with active listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Can guide the sales team and clients through a process that creates highly stylized paid and non-paid content.
  • Produce and schedule social content (posts, short videos, thumbnails, captions) across major platforms and coordinate with reporters/editors to ensure timely, accurate coverage.
  • Complete other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• • Demonstrate successful writing, shooting, sound design and editing ability.
  • Non-linear editing, lighting, and production skills required.
  • Experienced with Adobe Suite, Edius ENPS, social media, design software.
  • Advanced videography skills, including DSLR. Drone experience/license is a plus.
  • Juggle numerous projects at once with persistent deadlines.
  • Ability to work flexible hours when needed.
  • Positive attitude that includes discretion, maturity, and composure - especially under pressure.
  • College degree in broadcast journalism, communication, or other related areas is preferred.
  • Ability to lift in excess of 30 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Valid driver's license
