About the role
We are seeking an experienced, communicative, and compassionate Lead Psychiatrist to join our Irvine Clinic on a part-time basis. You must have a minimum of at least 1 year of experience practicing as a licensed Psychiatrist.
What you'll do
Key Responsibilities
Conduct initial evaluations and follow-up visits per accepted practice standards
Develop and implement treatment plans in accordance with clinical practice guidelines and protocols
Build and manage a panel of patients for whom you are the primary psychopharmacologist
Assist with interventional services such as Spravato
Monitor the effectiveness of therapeutic intervention, assess, and manage patient follow up care
Assumes responsibility and accountability for time management, professional relationships, and interpersonal interactions within the job setting
Secondary supervisor to associate therapists
Assists with clinical trials (both psychedelic and non-psychedelic)
Maintains continuing educational requirements necessary for licensure and certifications
Provides appropriate and timely documentation of clinical care ensuring that records are detailed, complete, and comply with related standards and regulations
Part-time: expected 20 clinical hours per week, 3 days per week in-office
Qualifications
Current License as a MD or DO - minimum of 2 years of experience*
Minimum 2 year of experience with medication management
Unrestricted license to practice in the State of California
Possesses a State Controlled Substance License II through V
Possesses a Federal DEA Certificate II through V
BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers
Ability to collaborate and communicate with members of an interdisciplinary care team
Effective problem-solving and prioritization skills
Previous experience in an outpatient setting
TMS and Ketamine experience preferred
Must be able to pass an extensive background check including all educational requirements and licensing
