OBJECTIVE : To maintain customer account base A/R balances within company accounting procedures and policies while maintaining compliance with the NYS Liquor Authority rules and regulations. The duties and responsibilities of this position require great attention to detail as well as excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

LOCATION: Craft Beer Guild NY Office - New Paltz, NY

SALARY: This role offers a starting salary of $20-22 per hour.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collect, open, and process all checks received by mail daily
Prepare and deliver daily bank deposits either in-person (cash) or via check scanner (checks)
Handle all A/R Adjustments
Bi-weekly preparation of A/R balance over 60-day reports (Customers/Suppliers)
Bi-weekly preparation of A/R balance over 14-day reports (Intercompany)
Daily credit checks for deliveries to be made the following day
Daily add/removal/reporting on NYS Liquor Authority Website
Daily resolution of customer inquiries regarding billed invoices, payment application, A/R balance or credit limit issues
Daily communication with GM, Sales Manager, Team Leaders & Sales Reps on collection of payments for cycle due
Communicate with customers about outstanding payments as needed
Monitor over terms accounts and maintain related reports
Send delinquent customers to collections
Prepare and email monthly statements
Prepare monthly finance charges

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
Answer incoming phone calls and direct them to appropriate parties as needed
Assist individuals who come to the office to pay bills, pick up orders, attend meetings, etc
Assist customers with Retailer Portal setup and troubleshooting
Assist with customer account setup, apply credit terms, make changes, maintain license info and inactivate accounts as needed
Scan documentation into back-office software
Light document shredding as needed
Other duties as assigned

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
High School diploma required; associate degree preferred
Accounting background

Strong computer experience required
