Senior Quality Specialist

The Sr. Quality Specialist will lead, assist and support the department with Quality & Food safety continuous improvement projects, prepare for customer & third-party audits, tracking & completion of CAPA. This role will report to the Director of Plant Quality.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist and support plant risk assessments.
• Create and implement proficiency training.
• Lead plant level audit preparation for customers and 3rd party audits.
• Participate in internal audits with the broader internal auditing team.
• Create, implement and manage environmental monitoring programs.
• Support Research & development plant trials.
• Participate and drive food safety & quality culture.
• Lead and trend hygiene verification program.
• Trend & report weekly & monthly KPI metrics.
• Assist with other Food safety and Quality Assurance duties or administrative activities as requested or assigned.
• Manage internal and customer specifications.

Education / Qualification Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a food manufacturing facility
• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Biology, or related field (preferred).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite software
• High attention to detail and time management
• Good communication skills (written and spoken)
• Works well with others and in a team environment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
• Flexibility with designated work schedule
