Heavy Equipment Mechanic 10+yrs

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced heavy equipment mechanic to join our team with a minimum 10 years experience . This role involves performing physically demanding work both at our onsite shop location in Concord NC and going to local jobsites to perform maintenance on heavy equipment and vehicles as needed.

Responsibilities

• General : Duties are maintaining, diagnosing and repairing equipment, including cars, trucks, dump trucks, road tractors, trailers, loaders, excavators, rollers, motor graders and reclaimers. As well as install, replace, rebuild or repair parts and/or equipment in a timely manner and according to specifications.
• Safety Compliance : Follow all safety protocols and guidelines, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), ensuring the safety of yourself and others.
• Teamwork : Collaborate with field laborers, supervisors and technicians to complete work efficiently and on time as to not hinder jobsite production.

Qualifications

• Experience : Proven work experience as a heavy equipment mechanic for minimum 10 years is a MUST as well as a good driving record, valid drivers license and able to pass a drug test. CDL is a plus. Pay based on experience.
• Physical Requirements: Physical able to fulfill all job duties including but not limited to bending, climbing, stooping, carrying and using various types of tools. As well as lifting parts and equipment up to 100 pounds unassisted.
• Teamwork : Strong ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions.
• Communication : Basic communication skills.

Working Conditions:

• Environment : This job requires working indoors within a shop setting and outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, cold and rain.
