Q3 Contracting is seeking a Professional Utility Engineer to support our Plan and Profile Operations in Commerce City, Colorado. The Professional Utility Engineer will be responsible for assisting our Plan and Profile operations SUE plans. A Professional Engineer (PE License is Required). 
 

Primary Responsibilities include: 

  • A clear understanding of ASCE 38 standards.
  • Plans, organizes, coordinates, and identifies project goals, timeliness, and resource requirements for SUE operations.
  • Oversee the maintenance of SUE project logs and documentation files.
  • Provide technical direction to all field locator staff, responsible for creation and implementation of all SUE procedures.
  • Provides project management services and coordinates the bid process for specific projects as assigned.
  • Responsible for all facets of SUE operations, attend meetings, provide written or oral reports on progress and be the main SUE resource.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
     

 Minimum requirement include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years of tangible experience in utility construction
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD
  • Experienced with ASCE standard governance of Subsurface Utility Engineering.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
  • Ability to organize and handle multiple project assignments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project.
  • State registered Professional Engineer (PE Required)
